Proposition 65 Warning For California Residents
Due to the California labeling law called Proposition 65 (Prop 65), we include a warning label on shipments sent to California.
Because this law pertains specifically to California residents, many state residents are familiar with these warnings as they can be found in restaurants, grocery stores, schools, hospitals, and a variety of consumer products.
This warning is unique to California and is not a national standard related to health or safety - both the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) and WHO (World Health Organization) have different standards.
What Is Prop 65?
This law is known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act.
The California law states that a consumer warning must be issued when a substance on the Prop 65 chemical list is present above a very low threshold. This chemical list contains approximately 900 substances and includes naturally occurring minerals.
Some of our products comply with the prop 65 standards, however, some of them exceed the limits and therefore require labeling.
Some levels of heavy metals may be found in many common foods. These elements are naturally occurring as well as can be picked up from environmental pollutants in the soil, water, and even air.
Unfortunately, there’s no way you can avoid heavy metals because you’re exposed to them every day. Metals, such as arsenic, lead, cadmium, mercury, and others - are found in almost all foods because of the nature of our food supply.
Prop 65 limits for lead are so low, almost all foods contain amounts higher than allowed.

What We’re Doing To Keep You Safe
As a California-based company, we face the rigorous standards of Proposition 65 that set a limit of safety for lead content of all foods. Proposition 65 sets a maximum exposure level of 15 micrograms/day for carcinogenicity and 0.5 micrograms/day for reproductive toxicity. These levels have no observable effect on humans exposed. As a good comparison, other natural foods you might eat daily — like mixed nuts, spinach, or cucumbers — have 10.2, 7.0, and 3.4 micrograms per serving respectively.
We guarantee our products are organic under US and EU organic certification standards.
These rigorous certifications ensure that our entire line of products maintains the highest level of clarity, validity, and integrity. These strict certifications also prohibit the use or addition of potentially harmful substances in the harvesting or manufacturing processes. We carefully select our raw material suppliers to ensure that no human activity affects our products at any point in the supply chain.
We want to make sure that you get the highest possible quality of superfoods, therefore all of our batches are tested by 3rd party labs. At TruWILD, we take pride in the purity and quality of our ingredients and we guarantee that all of our products are
